Day 19 - Cooking with gas

Title pretty much sums it up :) Taken with my 18-55mm lens, no flash. I was very pleased with how this came out. I turned on one of the burners on my Mom's stove and managed to get a few good shots in. I am certain that I was born in the right century, as much as I love the Regency era and Colonial times. I like being able to buy my meat pre-dead and have the ability to cook by turning a dial on a stove!

On a side note, can I just say how excited I am about tomorrow's Inauguration? We're fairly close to D.C., but I still have to work and the sheer volume of people who will be there is a big enough deterrent to keep me in the area. Can't wait to watch it all on my DVR when I get home from work :)

Blessings!!

  1. Such perfect color saturation on that photo! ANd I'm with you on the appreciation for current day cooking technology! (cripes I can't even stand to look at chicken skin - I buy my chicken in the boneless, skinless variety -- I'd have starved in the colonial days!

  2. Oh how wicked cool! I love cooking on gas but only our heat is gas. Grew up using gas to cook and I think it cooks better all around.
