This is the wick from my hurricane lamp (notice the fuzziness of the metal casing? Yeah... don't get to dust this lamp much *LOL*). I thought the texture was interesting, especially with the red coloring from the oil.

Ok the little black thingys look like a bunch of tiny, tiny seeds. :)
